Well, I had some problems with redhat afterwards. Something about not enough memory (bull). So I reinstalled it (man that takes a while) and then GRUB lost my windows boot. So, I couldn't get onto XP afterwards. This was stressing me much at 4 in the morning.. So I scoured the net and found a way to modify the .conf file to force it to recognize my XP. Problem temporarily solved. New problem: Linux doesn't make any sounds.. I think this is wrong. Also, there is something wrong with it recognizing my ethernet card. That, and I can't figure anything worthwhile to do on it. And, of course, my XNEWS is saving its data files as unremovable icons to the xp desktop. bleah.

Redhat 8.0 lost all its support for MP3 files. But if it is 7.3, then it sounds like a soundcard config problem.
