I'm continually discouraged from attempting to built my own pig roaster for my party. I've drawn up plans for it, it only took about 10 minutes. It'll be expensive, though. Just casters and some angle iron cost $70. But at the end of it all, I'll have a portable barbecue grill that'll last forever. I just need to buy some bolts, a big handle, some piping, and a piece of sheet metal and plywood. I'll need to rent an arc welder to cut it. It should be neat, getting some practice using one of those. It'd probably be best to get everything else squared away before I get to cutting it. Although, it's the base for everything. I can just cut the plywood to fit and drill it out, and cut and tap the pipes. I'll draw out the pieces on the sheet metal to cut (only 5 pieces) and give it my best shot. If I can do it completely alone, I'll be tickled pink. I hope cutting and drilling the piping won't be too difficult.
