don't know what you've got 'till it's been abraded away

I got the opportunity at my last swordfighting class to play around with a 500 year old longsword that our group bought with some donated funds. It was nice, although the pommel had been broken off so it was difficult to appreciate the real balance it had before the damage. I believe somebody's going to try to reattach it somehow, hopefully with a lot of care.

I finally just got back from the printers and reviewed the proof they gave me, and it looks allright. Actually the margins are just a touch off of 1.5"x1", but I noticed that all the other bound copies from previous students are slightly off too. I swear to christ if the dean makes me reprint them because of 1/8" I'll throw him all the way to Mexico.

I have a veritable pharmacy in my bag at work now, as I've been to the Walgreens several times buying various mecicines and poultices for what has turned out to be something more than tinea cruris, but what I call 'tinea cruxis' because I would rather be nailed to a wooden cross that go through this ever again. I had to sleep in the most undignified position last night to achieve comfort. I think I've passed the zenith of this thing and I'm waning, although I wonder if my vast array of pharmacopeia had anything to do with it. I considered taking pictures but then I realized I actually see some of you fuckers in real life from time to time.
