"my poverty, but not my will, consents."

I have to send money to Poland today, I guess I should do it by international money order, via registered mail.  I know cash is bad to send via mail, but registered mail is supposed to be high-security, so I don't know if it's really worth the charge of getting a money order.

I have the most annoying pain in my foot, as if I stomped on a rock all day.  I switched from my boots to my martial arts shoes to try to de-warp my foot, but I dunno how good it's doing and I feel fruity walking around without my clod-hoppers on.  I also developed a freckle or a tiny mole on the palm of my hand, which to me is like a rip in the matrix, it's a sign of shoddy programming by our spider-bot overlords.  I'm going to see if scissors can dig it out.

As my washingmachine is on the fritz, clothes are piling up here.  I got several things dry-cleaned and took some others to the laundromat for the first time ever.  The guy behind the counter didn't speak ONE WORD of english, his friend had to translate for him.  It was rather depressing to know that A) we don't have labor laws preventing this and B) I am so needy of clean socks and underwear that I didn't turn around and leave the place.  On the upside it was done quickly and only 90 cents a pound, folded, shirts put on hangers and in plastic, pretty good all around.  I even only got hassled by one bum, surprisingly.  As the cash register for this place was the clerk's wallet, he knocked 15 cents off to make change in bills.  I may go back again if I need to, and accept that I live in the great state of Texico.

Yea I was thinking this too, if I just wrapped cash in paper, it wouldn't be so noticeable. But the mail clerks were practically yelling at me for conceiving of such a thought so I gave up and walked away.

Also I'd prefer to pay in Euros instead of dollars so a money order will be easier in that regard too.

dude there are like 20 mexican radio stations in this city, I think we got y'all beat. Not that I hate spanish language radio stations, I don't have to listen to them, but I do have to listen to less-than-4th grade level english every time I want to go inside the gas station and buy a coke. It's a shame because I like this area to a degree, but it's just un-fuckin-believable what we're willing to tolerate as a nation.
