Does anyone here have experience with Jeep XJ's? Are they good or are they junk? If anyone here knows any mechanics, let them know I have a question, especially if they live in the northeast as I hear they have them up there nowadays..

ehhh they're okay, the 4.0 was a good motor mechanically. the electronics ie: ignition,ECM,BCM etc. were junk as they are all chrysler. the automatic transmision's were billy bad ass as they are japanese, Aisin Warner, meaning: bullet proof. all of the models with A/C will end up with a leaking evaporator.
I had one for two years. it had a few problems but nothing major.

Did you have pre 97 or after 97? Was it 2 door or 4 door? what transfer case?
I'm prolly going to keep my truck for awhile still, but I was just thinking about something different as I don't have quite the need for a truck bed as I used to and my shit would get stolen less with a door to lock it behind.
overall they're not bad trucks, they're know for certain problems. they are nice for being able to put stuff inside and people too.
