Mikey's party

I went to BR to see my friend Mikey one last time this weekend before he moved away to Hawaii.  I started drinking at around 3:30 on Saturday and finished around 2:30.  We had most of the upstairs of the Spanish Moon to ourselves and the back room as well.  Mikey invited his friends and although maybe 50-100+ showed up, he was disappointed that others didn't.  But I think he enjoyed himself, and he got a lot of email addresses and such to hopefully begin online communication (as he'll be more forced to now).  I got a picture of me with him on his camera, as far as I know it's the only one there is in 8 years of knowing him so I hope I get to see a copy.  I'm glad I was able to go into town to see him one last time, go out to eat, drink, eat more, drink a lot more, bong hits, drinking, telling dirty jokes, smoking cigarettes, all the shit that we've been doing since I've known him.  It's going to be less fun going to BR from now on.  I feel bad for my other friend Levi who has very few good friends left in BR, and who will eventually move away himself, leaving ... basically nobody.   Mikey gave me his booksack which he won't need anymore, I think I may use it at AC as I can't find my old booksack.  I at least have a reason to visit Hawaii now, and I won't have to stay at a hotel.

I made a point to see my other friend Scott, who I didn't get to see during Xmas break, and had margaritas with him.  He'll be moving away to the northeast sometime in the summer, maybe never living in BR again.  I also saw my friend Trey who I hadn't seen in a fairly long time.  I fixed my mother's propane grill, replacing the burner (which had completely corroded out and nearly burned my face off lighting the damn thing) and also the pushbutton ignitor apparatus (which is always the first thing to go on those things).  At least I fixed something while I was there.  Actually I fixed the goddamn annoying Norton SystemWorks popup crap that was on my mother's computer by uninstalling it and Internet Security and installing ZoneAlarm.  Unfortunately her computer is waaaaay too slow, and I can't figure out why.  I think it's something like an OS problem and therefore maybe I should reinstall her XP or something.  I need to think about that.

Re: Cat & Caroline
Yeah it looks like friggin everyone got off of their easychairs and into the 21st century finally. I was talking to Scott Patterson and he's on there, Clint Rhodes is there, Lindsey Bounds is there, probably several other people I know are there too. I don't want to have to worry about updating a blog there if I already have one here. Some people I wouldn't mind being able to talk to, some people I would mind. If I made one of those pages (holy christ, some of them look annoying with the sprinkles and embedded songs), it would mostly be a pointer to my LJ page. Thanks for the links, I went on a jihad a couple of months ago googling everyone I've ever met to see if they could be found online and finding maybe 10 people's whereabouts.
