Anyway, I did some grad student and professor wrangling and thanks to me, there is no journal club from 4-5, and therefore I can drive home early enough to hopefully not be stuck in the ABSURD traffic I just know will be plaguing the I-10 today. Of course, I have to teach half the frigign lab the most difficult to master ASSay before I go. I don't think I'm a very good teacher. But I was saddled with teaching two Texas A&M toxicology classes in a few months, so I guess it's everyone's loss.
Either way, I'm on my way to Baton Rouge for the weekend. Dig it! While I'm there I have to repair a big section of drywall, replace an electrical outlet, and recaulk the bathroom after my last "mildew-resistant" caulk job turned into a friggin Petri dish. That, and supervise the frying of the turkey. And do my take-home MolTox exam, and read some papers, and prepare a presentation, and finish writing my abstract, and finish writing our microarray paper, and ...I guess celebrate Thanksgiving somewhere in there... I'm going to try to find some time to go to the pistol range if I can find the time, my S&W is just begging for some action.
Baton Rouge here I come.. I hope the weather has cleared up some.
