I saw Helmet tonight at the Engine Room. I had heard some bad things about them, that they had lost their sound, and it wouldn't sound good, blah blah. But that was a hell of a show. Paige Hamilton's voice sounded kind of goofy on a couple of the songs, but god DAMN that was some excellent guitarwork. The progressions and effects were excellent. I guess that's from pulling people from Zombie and Anthrax. I've heard basically nothing but shitty reviews for their new album (which I haven't heard yet), but nobody could really argue about how they sound live.

I think some girl passed out or had a conniption right behind me and must have bonked her head on my lower back, because it is seriously hurting...

I saw Helmet many years ago. (With Clint!) Shay would do anything to be able to see them now.

Yeah, I figured I'd never get to see Helmet before they broke up. I guess I didn't, actually.. but I did get to see them after they reformed (sort of). They played Unsung, but I don't remember 'symptom of the universe'.. Who's song is that?

I think it was done first by black sabbath as it was on the Nativity In Black CD covered by,,umm I forget. Sepultura does a kick ass cover of it. Helmet covered it in the Jerky Boys Movie.
