Is there anybody reading this journal who is all freaked out by animal research? By that I mean research done which requires the death and dismemberment of an animal. What about research done on the tissues of dead human beings? Anyone get all up in arms about that sort of thing? Do speak up if so.

Well my leatherman Wave is just completely MIA I guess. I have looked just about everywhere and cannot find it. This sucks pretty hard because my old Leatherman is kind of special and I don't want to keep carrying it around in its stead since I've proven already how well I keep track of things. Besides, Leatherman is putting out new models in a month or two, with titanium handles and guthooks, and stronger steel blades, and a diamond file. I'm going to wait until they stock them (I went to two Academy sports stores and neither one had them) and then get this new model. It is really getting annoying at work when I have to open a styrofoam box or pull something out of liquid nitrogen when I have to use my bare hands. I'm going to look like I got lost on Mt. Everest if I keep this up.

I saw M. Night Shyamalan's 'the Village' last night. It was pretty good at passing 2 hours, except that I really don't like Joachin Phoenix, or that hook-nosed Adrien Brody. And the last part of the movie, where you find out the whole big secret... that part really ruined the whole movie. The first 3/4 of the movie was pretty boring, but that's what you should expect from Shyamalan by now. He makes the first 2/3 or 3/4 boring but somehow foreshadowing a scary ending which will ultimately make the viewer forget how bored they were by making them rethink the boredom armed with the knowledge of the ending. However, this climax didn't really pay the balance like it should've. It was too anticlimactic, and the movie would've been twice as good if only the credits had rolled about 20 or 25 minutes earlier than the end of the screenplay. If you see the movie, you'll probably understand why.

Consider a used Civic. The current year model is a piece of crap, but I adore my 2006 and only one problem (battery) has occurred.
