Are people ordering their Xmas gifts online this year?  I am attempting to, because a lot of the coolest stuff (I like to give cool stuff instead of lame 'gift ideas!' type shit).  If you're ordering online, here's a good website giving important deadlines to order to get your junk shipped in time for Xmas for the major online sites:

I bought some weirdo books on amazon some time ago for my sister, and I'll likely be patronizing them again for other people.  I'm still floundering for other gift ideas though.  Do you people tend to buy gifts for friends or just family?  And do you usually give lots of small things or a few big things?  Just curious.

pretty much the select few friends I have in the fandom get gifts and they are medium "sized" gifts. I dont even buy gifts for my brother, mom and pop. they get money from me all year round.

I have a very small gift that will be going in the mail to you as soon as I get more package tape. It is the one that has to do with one of your major obsessions, but is totally work-safe; you will love it, but at the same time, it will frustrate you. :D

This year, we're pretty much forced by circumstance to keep it to just family. I think the perfect one-size-fits-all gift is a mix CD of various stuff you think they should hear for the first time, or have reason to think they'd enjoy, or YOU enjoy -- sort of like the ones Pshaw's done. There's a lot of stuff on her "Gone South 2003" disc, for example, that I'd not heard of or investigated before, but that I enjoy the hell out of.
