Does anybody know why in Firefox, I have to 'open link in a new tab' to get some links to open, because clicking them does nothing (this happens with some picture thumbnails that used to open to the full picture), while the same links in IE open just fine? I'm getting really goddamn tired of doing every link like that, it's driving me insane. I've tried to look in the options and so-forth, and reinstalled a couple of times. It happens on both my laptop and my home computer. Some webpages don't seem to give me a problem but others do. Anyone have this problem?

It's because of the whole 'I block popups' thing firefox has going on. It counts some new windows spawned as popup ads, and blocks them completely. You can go under tools - options - web features and uncheck the 'block popups' tab, or manually enter sites you want permitted to spawn new windows.

I turned it off completely and it's still doing it. Normally my links don't spawn new windows, they just stay in the same window.

Damn, that sucks. Sorry, man, I don't know anything else to help besides that. I use the radial context menu thing, so it's a quick right click and a shift to the left for me, I barely even notice it anymore, especially since I almost exclusively open all links in new windows to begin with. Different broswing styles, I suppose.
